Point out that the movements tend to be asymmetrical and have angles. Discuss what those who practise martial arts (such as judo, karate, taekwondo) do before they train or fight.

Do you need equipment at all? 4 Consider the safety aspects. 5 Is it inclusive? 6 Which techniques suit the game? 7 Can you develop appropriate tactics? 8 Can you move away from kicking (football) or throwing/passing (netball, basketball, rugby) invasion games? Option one Divide the class into three groups. Each group takes one of the three areas. They develop their creative game over a period of two to three lessons, depending on their progress.

Explain the purpose and value of the teaching for creativity approach to the pupils. These include: 1 Constructing a game that is theirs, something that they have made and created.
